American troops were sent a while ago →
I know that people have already started to get over this subject. This is just incredible how easy it is to forget and not notice what is happening all over the world. Due to the area in which we are born we do not think about what happens around us. I listen to the news on the way to school every morning and I still feel as if I have no idea what is actually happening around the world. As said in...

Interesting how one video can create a whole social movement.Tragedy has a way of provoking and I guess we all need to be more aware of the tragedy in this world. Even if this situation has existed for several decades I still respect the passion evoked by everyone around and I think it is a start. What are your thoughts on the subject?

The Last King of Scotland.
The Last King of Scotland is a truly amazing movie about the war and conflicts in Uganda at the time of military leader Amin. The tale told by the movie is that of the coming to power of dictator Amin. We observe the events taken place at the time of his ruling the first person view of an outside character, Dr. Nichola Garrigan, who starts off as a volunteer doctor for a medical clinic in Uganda...

La Vie des Autres, la fin de la Guerre Froide. →
This movie illustrates the hardship of being in Berlin at the time of the cold war. With the Stasi overruling the East side of Berlin there was a strict security throughout this side of Berlin. Through this movie we see the widespread terror evoked through this State Security and really how strict this politic was. Whoever and whenever someone was seen as disloyal or as slightly rebellious they...
Is Europe as stable as we have learned? →
The European Union is definitely one of the largest powers of the world with the other members of the Triade. This said though we can see that the United States are not the only ones in deep financial problems. We can maybe observe and so illustrate that the European Union itself is also in a large crisis concerning many of its’ members who are going into deep debt. This is all said but it...

This film issues the debate between senator McCarthy and reporter Edward Murrow. Senator McCarthy tries to find and reject all supposed communists from the American Nation. He does so unjustly in several cases, being the argument of Mr. Murrow. This film is really interesting because it is placed in 1953, right after the World War II and right at the beginning of the Cold War. Even when there was...
Video of groups finding random missiles in unsecured bases..
Simply rediculous →
In Libya there have been missiles discovered in different random places. We have become something else, are we not afraid to kill one another?
Une contradiction marant →
This is a yahoo link about a group of millionaires who tried to beg the government to tax them more. This is interesting in context of our ideas about the recession. Why would the rich want to be taxed more when they already pay more than everyone? Isn’t it their investments that keep our economy going?

This is an incredible movie on the Cuban missile crisis that really demonstrates the political conflict and its effect on the U.S. population. I strongly suggest watching it, not only is it a very good take and an incredible movie but it also gives a pretty precise view on what had gone on during the time of the crisis.
